Rossini APEX Player

The Rossini Player combines a DAC, a streamer, and a CD transport in a single elegant unit.

New for 2022, the Rossini APEX benefits from the latest generation dCS RingDAC™ APEX™ hardware. This major upgrade brings a range of measured and sonic improvement.

Compatible with all high-resolution music formats, from DSD to PCM, DXD and MQA, the Rossini is a system that can flex to serve whatever mood or music you ask it to. Whether you’re streaming or spinning discs, it provides stunning sound and an effortless listening experience.

Rossini DAC

If you only stream or wish to use the Rossini Transport then the Rossini APEX DAC will be the heart of your system.

The DAC accepts USB, AES, Dual AES and S/PDIF digital audio inputs. It affords high quality streaming from TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer and internet radio via the dCS Mosaic Control app It’s also Roon Ready, AirPlay, Spotify Connect and UPnP compatible.

It features a full MQA™ decoder. This MQA™ implementation is unique, as it is the first opportunity to enable a DAC which, by providing exact rendering to beyond 16x (768 kHz), matches the desired temporal response with very low modulation noise.

The Rossini DAC is firmware-upgradeable for future functionality and performance upgrades.

Rossini Master Clock

The ultimate performance upgrade to the Rossini system is the addition of the Master Clock, which offers world-leading levels of accuracy and jitter control. The result is clearly audible as greater depth, space, and musical realism.

It features dual crystal oscillators with microcontroller-enhanced temperature correction. The dual frequency output and auto-clocking mode improves ease of use and minimizes jitter, particularly with computer audio sources.

Its aerospace-grade machined aluminium chassis is fitted with tuned acoustic damping panels to reduce magnetic effects and vibration.

Rossini Transport

The Rossini transport takes disc playback to a another level of performance and flexibility.

With the Rossini transport, you can experience stunning sound from CDs or SACDs, upsampling CD data to high-resolution DSD, DSD/128 or DXD for even greater resolution and detail, or playing both CDs and SACDs in their native formats.

An additional downsampling option is also available for SACD data.
