L9 is a high-quality tube line preamplifier, designed with innovative solutions and uncompromising choices to offer an extraordinary listening experience. Acustica Applicata does not limit itself to the distribution of this new tube preamplifier, but has contributed to “shaping” the sonic result with intensive listening tests during the development of the preamplifier, in close collaboration with the designer and builder Eng. Alberto Ferrero, a passionate audiophile-engineer with a deep experience in sophisticated military electronics (living in La Spezia and working in a company in the sector. La Spezia is the headquarter and most important harbour of Italian Navy). Even the choice of materials (rigid and damping, magnetic and non-magnetic) is the result of both proven theories and specific listening tests to verify the desired sonic effect.

The overall result is a valuable mix between the certainties of “tradition” since the signal is amplified exclusively by tube circuits, but with the technological innovation brought by cutting-edge components completely new to the audio industry, derived precisely from the military sector. Thanks to these solutions, the linearity of the tubes and their working conditions have been optimized to the best, obtaining sonic performances of absolute excellence.


With a high input impedance, high gain, low noise, extremely low output impedance and total absence of DC at the output, the Pre L9 interfaces perfectly with any kind of power amplifier, both tubes and solid state.


FERRERO L9 is carefully assembled by hand and is 100% Made in Italy.
