The flagship loudspeaker in the Wilson Audio line, the Chronosonic XVX is built on the foundation of Dave Wilson’s legacy achievement, the WAMM Master Chronosonic, of which only 70 units were ever built.
The XVX, on the other hand, is in continuous production. Its physical scale allows placement in a wider range of rooms while offering nearly the same performance as it’s Olympian inspiration.
The XVX is the first loudspeaker to introduce a new midrange driver: The new Alnico QuadraMag driver brings together unparalleled natural beauty, harmonic integrity, musicality, low distortion, and ultra-high resolution in a single design.
The QuadraMag midrange was Dave Wilson’s last design project. Alnico drivers had been around for many years and Dave was taken by their natural beauty. However existing designs weren’t capable of the dynamic expression and resolution demanded of a Wilson loudspeaker. After several years of experimentation and redesign, Dave and his engineers were able to achieve their goal: beauty, resolution, and dynamic expression.
The Dual woofers are the woofers designed for the WAMM, and the tweeter is the latest iteration of the Convergent Synergy Mk.5 design, both front and rear firing.
